Travelers Rest makes it into final round of 'Coolest Small Towns' contest

For the second time in as many years, Travelers Rest has made it into the final round of a national contest to find the “coolest” small town in America.

In December, Travelers Rest finished with the second-highest number of online votes in the preliminary round of the annual contest, which is organized each year by Budget Travel magazine.

Using the total number of first-round votes as a guide, the list of entrants was narrowed to 15 finalists.

Last year, the city finished in eleventh place out of a total of 924 entries, with just 2/10 of one percent separating the city from a top-10 finish.

Online voting in the contest runs through 12 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25.

Online Voting:

• To vote for Travelers Rest, visit the Budget Travel contest website here.

• You can vote once every 24 hours, so visit the site each day for the contest period and cast your vote for Travelers Rest.

• You can vote during each 24-hour period from multiple IP addresses, so be sure to vote every day from home, work, your mobile device, wi-fi hotspots, etc.
